Serial dreamer.  This is probably the most apt description of my life.  When I graduated from university in 2012 with a degree in Acting and Directing, I had starry eyes and penniless pockets, a wisp of a plan, little follow through, and just one professor who warned me about living life with my head in orbit.

With prescient clarity, he said to me, “Jonny, if someone told me you were off climbing a mountain or going to grad school in Tibet, I’d say, ‘That’s just Jonny.’  Do yourself a favor:  do what you want; just get out of your own way doing it.”

Four years later, I’ve tried my hands as an actor, director, writer, bartender, barista, blogger, science enthusiast, tattoo canvas, entrepreneur, and missionary.  And at every turn, I find myself bored partway down the next corridor, with a foot out to trip me on the way.

So the purpose of this blog is nothing more than to be a paper trail tracking the inevitable death of Jonny, who always gets in my way.  

ichosetheone represents the one thing each day that systematically undoes the man of no follow through and builds the one who makes his dreams a reality.
